Tottenham news – Make Parker bid fast says Allardyce, Agent: Pav wants to stay, Khumalo joins Reading

Make Parker bid fast says Allardyce.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has warned Tottenham not to wait too long if they want to sign Scott Parker. The midfielder is expected to leave Upton Park this summer but Big Sam has warned they could be disappointed.

Speaking to Sky Sports Allardyce said: “It is a worry that Spurs may wait until the last minute because it would be the wrong time to do it. So, if Harry is listening, or anyone at Tottenham, watch out, don’t be waiting that long because you won’t be able to do it.”

Although they expect Parker to move on they did confirm that there have been no concrete bids.

Agent: Pav wants to stay.

Roman Pavlyuchenko wants to sign a new contract and commit his future to Tottenham, according to his agent. He has drifted in and out of the side since his arrival three years ago.

His agent Oleg Artemov told Sky Sports: “We haven’t talked about Roman’s future with Tottenham yet. We don’t care about any other offers because Roman wants to stay in London. His heart belongs to Tottenham.”

It is well known that Spurs are in the hunt for strikers this summer but it doesn’t appear to have affected Pav’s dedication to the club.

Khumalo joins Reading.

Harry Redknapp has allowed South African defender Bongani Khumalo to join Reading on loan until the end of the season. Having spent the end of last season on loan at Preston the Spurs manager clearly feels he needs regular football this season.

Khumalo joined Spurs in January 2011 from Supersport United for £1.5 million after completing a successful trial. Manager Harry Redknapp told the Mirror: “He lacks experience, this is his first year. It will be difficult to get into the team.”
