Tottenham news – Spurs in for Nepalese star, Adebayor loan move, Stoke eye Crouch

Spurs in for Nepalese star.

18-year-old Nepalese sensation Rohit Chand is being tracked by Tottenham and North London rivals Arsenal. The centre-back currently plays for Hindustan from the Indian Premier League and is already considered one of the hottest prospects in Asian football.

The manager of the Nepal national team is the former Spurs captain Graham Roberts and so Tottenham may hope he will be able to help swing the deal in Spurs’ way according to talksport. ”Rohit is by far the best centre-half I have ever coached. He is an extreme talent who will play at the highest level.” said Roberts.

Adebayor loan move.

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor could join Tottenham Hotspur on loan this season, despite expressing his desire to stay at Real Madrid after his loan spell there last season.

The Spanish club have made no bid for the Togolese striker however, and Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has stepped in to try bring him to the lane according to the Daily Mirror.

Redknapp has recently gone on record stating that he wants to sign more quality in the forward positions for Spurs, and Adebayor would be seen as an upgrade on the current strikeforce at White Hart Lane, and after struggling to make an impact with City, the former Arsenal player could be interested in a move back to North London

Stoke eye Crouch.

Stoke City have become the latest team to confirm their interest in Tottenham striker Peter Crouch. The Potters boss, Tony Pulis has already failed in his attempts to lure West Ham striker Carlton Cole to The Brittannia stadium and so has turned his attention to 6’7 target man reports The Guardian.

A deal does look somewhat unlikely to be reached however. The 30-year-old is reluctant to leave White Hart Lane and Crouch’s wages could prove to be a stumbling block, even though the Staffordshire club believe they can meet Harry Redknapp’s £10m estimation for the England international.
