Tottenham fringe players David Bentley, Niko Kranjcar and Robbie Keane have been offered in discussions over a possible deal for Roma striker Mirko Vucinic, according to the Daily Mail.
Vucinic is keen on a move to White Hart Lane, but is rated at £15m by Roma and Roma boss Luis Enrique is looking for a cash bid from Juventus. Enrique is also not a fan of the three players Spurs boss Harry Redknapp offered in the deal and Vucinic’s desire to move to England could be stopped by the lack of money Spurs have shown.
The Montenegrin international scored 10 goals in 29 Serie A appearances for Roma last season and has been the target of plenty of clubs across Europe this summer. Juventus have switched attention to Vucinic after struggling to prise Villarreal striker Guiseppe Rossi away from Spain. Rossi is also the preferred target of Redknapp for Spurs.

Bastos a target.
The Daily Mail report that Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is keen on Lyon wing-back Michel Bastos.
Redknapp has admired the 27 year old for some time and is looking at the possibility of bringing in Michel Bastos as a potential replacement for Benoit Assou-Ekotto, who has attracred attention from scouts at top European sides. Bastos can play at both left back and left midfield, so would be able to fit in if Gareth Bale expresses a desire to leave Spurs.
The Brazilian player made 27 appearances in the league for Lyon last season, scoring five goals, and is part of the Brazil national team setup. His compatriot Sandro plays at White Hart Lane and that could sway a move for Bastos to White Hart Lane.
Spurs are also keen on bringing Internacional striker Leandro Damaio to White Hart Lane, but may be put off by the high £20m valuation by his club. The move for Manchester City striker Jo by the Brazilian side could result in the transfer of Damaio to North London.
Afellay coy on Spurs link.
Barcelona playmaker Ibrahim Afellay is keeping quiet over any speculation regarding a potential move to Tottenham, Sky Sports reports.
The Dutch international arrived at the Nou Camp in January, but has struggled to force his way into Pep Guardiola’s first team and a move to Spurs could guarantee the 25 year old regular first team action. Afellay is still focused on playing for the Spanish League champions, but has recognised the interest from Spurs as well as Italian sides Juventus and Lazio.
Afellay said: ‘Look, if there is anything that is clear, it’s that rumours are part of football and we must learn to live with them, but now I’m just focused on Barcelona. I’m aware (of the reports) because I read the information arriving from England. People call you and say they have seen such a thing.’
The former PSV man is tied to a four and a half year contract with the Catalan side and is determined to get more regular first team football with Barca this season.
