Getafe to try one last time to re-sign Pedro Leon from Real Madrid

Getafe are reportedly set to try one last time to re-sign attacking winger Pedro Leon back from Real Madrid before the summer transfer window closes.

Leon has been sidelined by Jose Mourinho, barely featuring last term and finding himself training separately during pre-season, and remaining in Spain for Los Blancos’ tour across the US, Europe and China.

His former club Getafe, who sold him to Real in 2010 for €10m, have been keen for several weeks to recapture his services, but only on a loan deal, one that Real are reluctant to sanction, as they are believed to be pushing for a permanent deal in the region of €8m.

Negotiations have not moved beyond this stage, but it is understood the player has informally agreed to the return, but also on Getafe’s terms of a loan deal, as he is otherwise keen to remain a Real Madrid player to then fight for a first team place at the Bernabeu in future seasons.

The player’s agent Pedro Bravo is meeting Getafe sporting director Toni Mu
