Wesley Sneijder says he will leave Inter this summer if the right offer comes along and with Manchester United and Manchester City both looking to sign the playmaker, he is expected to make a decision about his future on Wednesday, Metro has revealed.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been looking to sign the former Ajax star all summer and now City have shown an interest in the Dutchman as they attempt to hijack the Red Devils’ bid.
The World Cup runner-up says if Inter need to sell him for financial reasons then he will be happy to move on but stressed that he will only leave the Milanese club for the right price, but he insisted that he had not spoken to either of the Manchester clubs: “I can be very brief about the interest from Manchester United and City: I haven’t spoken with either of those two clubs, so I can’t really say much about my future at the moment.”

Rooney pleased with “Football lesson”.
Wayne Rooney says Manchester United have shown their dominance over their archrivals Manchester City by beating them in the Community Shield on Sunday, giving them a “footballing lesson”, The Guardian reports.
The young Red Devils team overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat Roberto Mancini’s side 3-2 in a display which Rooney feels proves that United are the best in the land.
He said: “This shows who the best team is. All game we dominated. The difference the young lads made was outstanding. We never know when a game is finished. We took them apart. The scoreline is deserved. We’re champions and we’re the team to beat. We want to prove that.”
Rooney later tweeted to his followers: “Have to say. I think today was a footballing lesson. Great win for the champions.”
Sir Alex Ferguson later reiterated Rooney’s point, adding that he was happy with the way the youthful squad’s performance: “For us I think it just confirms what I’ve thought. People were saying that we’re not the best United squad and things like that but you’ve got to remember a lot of young players will improve. We are very confident with this group of young players.”
Nemanja Vidic believes Manchester United are ready for the new season to kick-off after defeating Manchester City to lift the Community Shield.
The Red Devils captain says the squad’s ability to comeback from being 2-0 down at half-time to win the game 3-2 was a fantastic achievement and he sent a message to the club’s league rivals: “We just have to look at ourselves and take the best from this game. A few players had really good games, especially young players. We just showed we are ready for the season.
“We were 2-0 down after the first half and to change the game to 3-2, it’s a great performance, great performance especially second half.”
