Real Mallorca boss Laudrup keen on Sevilla striker

Real Mallorca continue to scour the market in their search for players that can reinforce their attacking options and Sevilla´s Alejandro Alfaro is one who falls into that category.

The Balearic club have been on the 24-year-old´s trail for some time and now appear to have been given the green light with the news he is not in Coach Marcelino´s plans for next season. In fact, Mallorca chief executive Peter Terrassa did not hide his club´s interest in the player: “He is among those we are looking at,” admitted Terrassa, although he added that “the market is made up of a lot of moving parts and you can have a planned strategy. However, if de Guzman, for example, was to leave us tomorrow then perhaps we would have a different strategy.”

Alfaro played a total of 20 league games last term and scored two goals, having spent the previous two seasons on loan at Tenerife, and is valued at €500,000, a figure Mallorca´s administrators are likely to approve.
