Saha fit and aiming for Everton trophies

Louis Saha insists he is fit again for the new season and is anxious to get back into the Everton first-team. The Frenchman is aiming for a good run in the FA Cup and to qualify for European competition in the coming campaign, The Liverpool Daily Post reports.

Saha made his first appearance in four months for the Blues on Saturday, coming off the bench and scoring in Everton’s 2-1 victory over Birmingham City.

The former Manchester United striker has high hopes for the new season and he feels David Moyes’ side can end their 16-year trophy drought this season: “Ambition is the main thing; we all want to win things and improve. A trophy is what we are looking for. We want to have a good run in the FA cup and Europe is a target as well. There is a desire here and all the players share that.

“I am like a kid when I get back out on the pitch. I enjoy everything about playing, the banter, the fans. The older you get, the more you realise that.”
