Silkmen look for huge upset as Tuncay prepares to make his bow

League Two side Macclesfield will hoping to pull of a major upset as they travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers in the Carling Cup tonight.

The Silkmen defied all odds in the first round as they triumphed 2-0 away at Hull City but will have to raise their game once again as they face the Premier League side on their own turf.

They will also have to contend with new signing Tuncay Sanli after the former Middlesbrough striker’s paperwork was finalised following his move from Wolfsburg.

Owen Coyle is expected to shuffle the pack in regards to team selection with Salford-born teenager Joe Riley in line to make his full debut at right back.

Gary Simpson on the other hand will stick with the team that earned a credible 0-0 draw with promotion hopefuls Bristol Rovers on Saturday. This includes striker Emile Sinclair who will be looking to build on his clinically taken brace at the KC Stadium in the previous round.

Macclesfield’s last clash with Premier League opposition came in January 2009 when they were narrowly defeated 1-0 at Moss Rose by eventual finalists Everton in the FA Cup 3rd round.
