LA Galaxy have joined Leicester in the chase for Tottenham’s out-of-favour striker Robbie Keane according to Setanta Sports. Keane is reported to be flying out to Los Angeles in the next few days in order to finalise the details of the move, where he would link up with former England captain and Spurs transfer target, David Beckham. Reports are suggesting the Irish striker will move for $9 million to the MLS club, on a contract lasting two years.

Spurs close in on Adebayor.
Goal.com are reporting today that Manchester City will subsidise Emmanuel Adebayor’s £170,000-a-week wages, to allow him to move on a season-long loan to Tottenham Hotspurs. Redknapp has been pursuing the Togolese striker all summer, as it appears he slipped down the pecking order after the Manchester club purchased strikers Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero. Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy is also reportedly interested in launching a £12m bid for the striker on a permanent basis, but it remains unforeseen as to whether the former Arsenal man will take such a huge wage cut.
Villas-Boas hints at new bid for Modric.
Yesterday, Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas hinted that Chelsea’s battle for Luka Modric may not yet be lost, by confirming he is still discussing transfers with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. Chelsea have so far made two signings in midfielder Oriol Romeu and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, with striker Romelu Lukaku also expected to join soon. However, a marquee signing such as Modric is thought to be required in order to please the Stamford Bridge support. Tottenham’s strong stance continues as Levy remains confident Modric will not be sold, the White Hart Lane club have already rejected two bids for the Croatian midfielder.
