Upon questioning by the Italian press yesterday, Chelsea Coach Andre Villas-Boas has distanced himself from a move to Inter.
The 2010 UEFA Champions League winners have had a rocky start to their Serie A campaign, losing their season opener against Palermo 4-3 last weekend. Coach Gianpiero Gasperini has been given tactical advice by owner Massimo Moratti, who feels the former Genoa boss has set his team up incorrectly, and reports have already emerged of a rift developing. However, despite being linked with the job, the new Chelsea man denied he would be considering an approach: “I admit I do not follow the Italian league, I only read the results. I know that Juventus had a good start, Inter have lost a very spectacular game in Palermo. But I think that can happen, that’s a difficult stadium. The Nerazzurri have so many great players, however, and will do well.”

Torres investigation over.
Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that the internal investigation into the alleged comments made by Fernando Torres about his teammates, is over.
Torres was reported on his own website saying that some of his Blues team members were too old and slow, yet insisted that he was mis-translated.
Villas-Boas told the Metro: “We had a chat and the situation is solved. The investigation is over. You saw the player involved and he put in a good collective performance, like the team did.
“Hopefully these things won’t arise in the group again. If they do, it will be the manager who has to resolve it.”
Malouda hails ‘perfect’ game.
Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda was delighted with his sides’ “perfect” 2-0 victory over Bayer Lervekusen in their Champions League opener last night.
“We had a tough opposition”, the Frenchman told the official Chelsea website. “Leverkusen played very well I think in the first half we had possession but had to be patient.
“Until we scored the first we were not sure to win so had to push them hard, and that’s what we did… We knew we would have possibilities to score and that’s what we did. For me it was a perfect match, a perfect start and we have to carry on.”
