Everton boss Moyes calm after Saha Twitter rant

Everton manager David Moyes has played-down the pre-match Twitter comments made by French striker Louis Saha upon hearing he would not be part of the Everton side against Wigan on Saturday.

Saha, upon hearing of his omission, wrote on Twitter: “I am not good enough. Absolutely destroyed… What can I say. Absolutely destroy me. #gutted. Good luck to the lads.” The former Man Utd forward seemed to calm down following the 3-1 win for the Toffees, tweeting: “Good win today. Well done lads. That will help me sleep better tonight… Emotions are hard to control even if you are a calm person.”

On the official Everton website, manager Moyes insists he is more interested in those who were involved: “Everybody has to report in for the game and then I tell them the subs because they know the team already. I don’t know if he (Louis) went home – I am not bothered. I was more interested in the players out there. It is good that he is upset not to be in the 18, isn’t it?”
