Fabregas denies accusing Arsenal of lack of ambition

Cesc Fabregas has denied making deprecating comments to a reporter of Sport magazine about his former club’s chances of winning silverware this season.

The Spanish midfielder is quoted to have said Arsenal have no chance of finishing in the top three this year and that the club’s realistic ambitions was a reason for him leaving. Yet the 24-year-old took matters into his own hands by stating on the social networking site Twitter he had said no such thing. He tweeted: “I’d never speak 1 bad word abt AFC, here there’s once more prove that so many people put in newspaper wtv they want and its not professional.”
