As Manchester United prepare to host Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday, Sir Alex Ferguson has tipped the London club to provide stiff opposition to his charges throughout this season.
Speaking of the upcoming Premier League encounter Ferguson indicated he does not expect there to be much between the two side.
Along with Manchester City, they sit top of the table having recorded four wins from four games, which has led to significant focus within the circles of English football, being paid to the possibility of the two local rivals duelling on their own to be crowned 2011-2012 Premier League Champions. However, Ferguson does not envisage such a situation materialises, but does believe Chelsea will welcome the opportunity to undertake their on-field business, free of the mass hype currently surrounding the early season prominence of the Manchester club’s.
“They are a team of great experience and all the publicity has been going to Manchester so Chelsea have been in the background and they will have been enjoying that. Chelsea will be there at the end of the season. There’s no doubt about that.”
