Coliseum Alfonso Perez – Getafe Madrid
An ambitious team with an ambitious Coach, Getafe started the season with high expectations but failed to deliver – that is until now. Whilst it wasn’t a vintage performance, there were signs to suggest that Luis Garcia Plaza’s plans are coming to fruition.
Pedro Leon, who experienced a torrid time under Jose Mourinho, appeared to have a lot to prove and whilst his movements were certainly impressive on the night as he drove forward with lots of energy, his eagerness to do it all alone cost him the desired result.
Real Betis on the other hand seemed worthy of being league leaders going into the game. Whilst they were unable to conjure up many chances, they were concentrated, determined and eager to make it difficult for the home side but had to settle for a defeat.
