Getafe – Rayo Vallecano: Getafe searching for their first win without suspended Luis Garcia Plaza

La Liga Week 4
Sunday September 18, 2011 (11.00 UK)

Coliseum Alfonso Perez, Getafe Madrid

Sunday’s match will be a mini Madrid derby between two teams with very different ambitions. Getafe has been somewhat unlucky to have not won a game yet especially considering their admirable performance against Real Madrid last week in which they put the giants under pressure. An impressed Jose Mourinho even commented on the manner in which the Getafe players would shout exact tactical instructions to one another on the pitch, reorganising themselves appropriately – a testament surely to Luis Garcia Plaza’s skill as a Coach

Tactical discipline will be the key to their game but they will have to achieve their first win without Plaza on the sidelines as he serves a two-match ban for shouting at the referee who officiated the match against the Galacticos.

As for Rayo, they are still undefeated in the league and slowly building momentum despite their limited spending over the summer. Searching for their first win and desperate to improve their ability in front of goal, the club is optimistic that they will return home with at least a point and have called on their passionate fans for a helping hand.

Getafe (4-2-3-1): Moya; Valera, Torres, Diaz, Mane; Perez, Lacen; Rios, Rodriguez, Sarabia; Miku
League form: Last five home D-W-W-W-L

Rayo Vallecano (4-2-3-1): Dani; Tito, Arribas, Jordi, Casado; Fuego, Movilla; Botelho, Trashorras, Piti; Tamudo
League form: Last five away D-W-D-W-W

Did you know…Getafe and Rayo have faced each other only three times in history and Getafe has always prevailed.
