Hernandez set to make Man Utd return sooner than expected

Javier Hernandez has been backed by his agent to continue training tomorrow, following scans on the Manchester United striker’s leg revealed that Ashley Cole’s wreckless challenge on has done no serious damage, contrary to what was first feared by Sir Alex Ferguson, the Telegraph has reported.

Fergie initially gave the verdict that, what he described as Cole’s ‘shocking’ tackle, would leave Hernandez crocked for up to a fortnight but this is no longer deemed as being the case according to Eduardo Hernandez who represents Chicharito.

Specifically the player’s agent said: “It’s just a bump, nothing more. It looked like [his absence] would be longer. They were looking for a fracture, that’s why they ran those tests on him. [But] I expect him to be training without incident on Wednesday.”
