Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell says his club are closing in on taking Man City defender Reece Wabara in a loan deal, according to BBC
Wabara just spent the summer just gone with the England U-20’s at the World Cup is now close to making a temporary move to Portman Road.
Jewell told BBC Radio Suffolk: “We’re hoping that will get done today [Thursday]. He’s an England Under-20 international, is quick, can play at centre-back but right-back is his preferred position,” Jewell added. “Jack Ainsley’s done well, but I feel we need somebody else to push Carlos (Edwards).”
