Mata prepares for Valencia return as Chelsea visit Mestalla

Chelsea travel to Valencia tonight for their Champions League clash sitting top of group E, with boss Villas-Boas sure to have a few selection headaches ahead of kick-off.

Fernando Torres is available for European competition after his red card against Swansea on Saturday and he will have a point to prove to his manager as well as the travelling supporters.

The spotlight however will be on ex-Valencia midfielder Juan Mata who returns to The Mestalla having only moved to Stamford Bridge this summer. Having already impressed the Chelsea faithful as well as being a fans favourite during his time in Spain, the World Cup winner should get a terrific reception upon return to his old stomping ground.

Daniel Sturridge should be fit whilst Brazilian Ramires is back from suspension. However Alex, Paulo Ferreira and Josh McEachran have not travelled to Spain and young striker Romelu Lakaku is unavailable.
