Real Madrid – Getafe: Luis Garcia’s men face tough test against a confident Merengues

Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid

In their first home game of the season, Real Madrid will play host to Getafe, a team that tend to travel poorly. Jose Mourinho’s side come into the game off the back of an impressive 6-0 win over a poor Zaragoza side, and the Portuguese Coach will look to maintain his winning start.

Mourinho could name an unchanged side now that Portuguese defenders Pepe and Ricardo Carvalho have reconciled after their minor argument over team selection whilst on international duty. The dangerous front four of Angel Di Maria, Mesut Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema should all start in what already looks like a very settled Madrid side.

Getafe conceded four goals in this fixture last season, and are coming off the back of a frustrating game against Levante in which they dominated possession but only managed to score one goal. Venezuelan striker Miku got the goal in that game, and he will delight Azulones fans if he can score again in this one.

Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Ramos, Pepe, Carvalho, Marcelo; Alonso, Coentrao; Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo; Benzema

Getafe (4-2-3-1): Moya; Torres, Diaz, Lopo, Mane; Abel, Lacen; Juan Rodriguez, Casquero, Rios; Miku

League form: Real Madrid last five home L-D-L-W-W
Getafe last five away L-L-L-L-D

Did you know…Getafe have not won any of their last eleven La Liga away games [via @soccerway]
