Real Mallorca – Real Sociedad: Pressure on Laudrup to grab three points this weekend

La Liga Week 6
Sunday September 25, 2011 (11.00 UK)

Iberostar Stadium, Palma

Real Mallorca will be hoping to pick up some points against Real Sociedad on Sunday as they head into this fixture having collected just three from their opening four league games and scored only one goal. The pressure is on Coach Michael Laudrup as his side have lost their last three matches in La Liga and currently sit in 15th place.

Sociedad will be the more confident side going into this match as they have lost just one game so far this season and even reduced a two-goal deficit to hold champions Barcelona to a 2-2 draw.

La Real striker Carlos Vela is confident that his side “can bring home some points” from this match but warned that Mallorca “has a very good team and can awaken at any time”.

Mallorca (4-2-3-1): Aouate; Pablo Lopez, Chico, Ramis, Caceres; Pina, Tissone; Nsue, Tejera, Akhiro; Victor
League form: Last five home W-D-L-W-L

Real Sociedad (4-2-3-1): Bravo; Estrada, Gonzalez, Martinez, De la Bella; Mariga, Illarramendi; Griezmann, Aranburu, Vela; Agirretxe
League form: Last five away W-W-D-W-L

Did you know… The away side has won just one of the last 10 matches between these sides, Mallorca ran out 1-0 winners at the Anoeta in November 2003.
