New signing Emmanuel Adebayor has vowed to get Spurs back into the Champions League this season. The loan signing from Manchester City has a point to prove and should be a vital part of the clubs push for a top four finish.
Speaking to talksport Adebayor said: “I’m not saying we’re playing to win the league, we’re playing for the top four, which is not going to be easy but I think we’vre got the squad now.”

Sandro reveals Roma interest.
Tottenham midfielder Sandro has rejected speculation that he had talks with Italian side Roma during the recent transfer window. Whilst the Brazilian admitted he is flattered with the interest shown at him he has said he never came close to leaving Spurs.
In an interview with Radio Mana Sport 24 Sandro said: “Roma were not the only side interested in me, there were other offers too. I’m happy a big club like Roma were keen, especially as they play in an important championship.”
The Brazilian is currently side-lined with after a knee operation after picking up an injury during the Copa America.
Pulis reveals Parker bid.
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has confirmed that the club made an approach to sign Scott Parker from West Ham. The England International signed for Spurs on deadline day from the relegated London side.
Speaking to The Sun Pulis said: “We did have a go for Parker. It was something we were trying to do for a few weeks. But we realised that if he could, he wanted to stay in London. That was a big part of it for him.”
It worked out well for Spurs though as not only did they sign Parker but Stoke bought Crouch and Palacios on dead-line day.
