Tottenham star Gareth Bale open to playing abroad

Spurs winger Gareth Bale has revealed that he would be open to a move away from the Premier League at some point of his career.

Bale, 21, generated much interest from Europe’s top clubs last season, while impressing for Tottenham in the Champions League. It is thought Inter Milan and Barcelona were both interested in taking the Wales star.

And while Bale is happy at Tottenham for the time being, he admits it is something that could interst him in the future:

“I’m happy at Tottenham and do not want to leave yet. But it would never scare me to go abroad,” Bale told The Sun.

“I left home in Wales to join Southampton when I was 15. I won’t be frightened to have a go abroad if that opportunity ever came up.

“I’m enjoying my time at Tottenham. And I’m enjoying playing week in, week out. But if ever something came up in future I wouldn’t be frightened of taking that opportunity.”
