Toure to make Man City return against Birmingham

Manchester City’s Kolo Toure is expected to make his long awaited return to football this evening following a six month ban for failing a drugs test.

Manager Roberto Mancini is likely to make a number of alterations to his starting XI for tonight’s Carling Cup clash with Birmingham City, to that that drew 2-2 with Fulham at the weekend. The defender last played for the Blues back in February and the ban prohibited him from training with the team until a month before his suspension expired, forcing him to undertake a personalised training programme in order to stay fit and eligible for selection, the Telegraph understands.
