Former Valencia star Vicente’s move to Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion is on the verge of completion.
News broke on deadline day of the Seagulls’ interest and as the 30-year-old is a free agent the deal is not affected by the closed transfer window.
The winger was released at the end of last season by Valencia and Gus Poyet has used a number of his contacts abroad to pull the strings and secure the stand-out Football League transfer this summer.
Although other clubs have declared interest Spanish football expert Guillem Balague confirmed on Twitter that Vicente will complete his move to the AMEX Stadium: “Soon excellent news for Brighton fans. Despite last minute interest from other richer and more famous clubs, Vicente will play for Gus Poyet”
