Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is determined not to be provoked by Alex Ferguson into playing mind games ahead of their match-up on Sunday, according to Sky
Fergie has a reputation as a mind game specialist after having more than a few media wars with managers of the past and it’s something which Villas-Boas will not heed.
‘You just have to wait and see how you are provoked and if you need to respond or not. You can react in different ways, and transmit other ideas to the players.
“The most important thing is for the players to have belief in the manager,’ Villas-Boas said. ‘If the manager concedes to an advantage of that kind, it might look like he is subjective to pressure.’
