15-year-old Wycombe Wanderers forward Jordan Ibe has rejected a move to Premier League side Fulham amidst interest from Liverpool, understands The
Ibe thrust his name into the national spotlight on Saturday as he scored on his first professional start against Sheffield Wednesday prompting interest from a number of top division sides.
Fulham were rumoured to have been following Ibe’s progress for a while but after being the first team to lodge a bid they were knocked back by Ibe who has his heart set on a move to a bigger club.
This may coincide with reports that emerged on Thursday that the Chairboys star had undertaken a trial at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground earlier this summer and impressed a number of key youth staff at the club.
With the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) coming into fruition at the start of next season the League One side may be forced to settle for a cut-price deal this season or risk losing their young star for next to nothing in the not too distant future.
