A host of Premier League clubs are reportedly battling to land Arsenal starlet Chuks Aneke on loan, suggests Sky
The 18-year-old midfielder, likened to Manchester City’s Yaya Toure by manager Arsene Wenger, is on the fringes of the first team, and made his debut for the Gunners in the Carling Cup game against Shrewsbury in September.
“Chuks is a bit like Yaya Toure – he has body power and good technique,” said Wenger.
“We had Yaya here [on trial] and for me, Chuks is a bit similar because he can play behind the striker or in a deeper role as well.
“We will have to see where he will develop; it is not excluded that in the future he will play deeper in midfield.”
Arsenal are believed to be considering several short-term loan bids from a number of interested Championship sides, before allowing him to join a Premier league team in January.
