Arsene Wenger has been handed a boost as defenders Laurent Koscielny and Johan Djourou have returned to training, according to Sky
Both central defenders missed the Gunners’ last two matches with injury which meant midfielder Alex Song was forced to fill the gap left in the backline.
Koscielny and Djourou are on international duty at the moment with France and Switzerland, respectively and Wenger will be hoping they can slot back into the team upon their return for the upcoming match against Sunderland.
Wenger will also be happy with the return of Sebastien Squillaci who is also back to full fitness.
The Arsenal boss will be delighted with the return of such players to bolster his poor defence which has the third worst record in the Premier League, conceding 16 goals in the first seven matches of the season.
