According to the Italian media, Sochaux midfielder Marvin Martin is one of a handful of January targets for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
However, the Gunners may have to wait until at least the summer to land the 23-year-old after he pledged that he will not leave the Ligue 1 outfit mid-way through the season.

The French club then offered the midfielder an improved deal, but Martin asked for a release clause to be implemented. The exact details are not known, but it is thought that the player can activate it at the end of the current season.
