Bayern forward Muller snubbed Chelsea

Germany and Bayern Munich forward, Thomas Muller has revealed he snubbed a potential move to Chelsea in the summer of 2010. The young star received a number of offers after the World Cup, but chose to refuse all offers and stay at his homeland.

“After the World Cup I refused many offers, including one from Chelsea,” he told Sport-Bild. “It was an honour because this does not happen every day. But I did not think it made sense to make the move at such a young age.”

And the striker feels his decision was completely justified, after claiming that at his age he needed regular football in order to develop his skill – a prospect he could not imagine with another club other than Bayern Munich, with whom he signed a contract until 2015.
