Bendtner could make Sevilla switch

Sevilla are hoping to cut short Nicklas Bendtner’s loan spell at Sunderland by making a move for the striker when the transfer window re-opens in January, according to talkSPORT.

The Danish international, 23, has struggled to hold down a first team place at the Emirates and made the season long loan switch to the Stadium of Light on transfer deadline day this summer.

Bendtner has scored once so far this season but is looking to secure his long-term future having expressed his desire to not return to Arsenal when his loan finishes.

Reports in Spain suggest that Sevilla, who are looking to sign a big-name striker, are making ‘advanced moves’ to sign the Dane, with any bid expected to be within the region of £8 million.
