Cech only concerned about winning

Chelsea goalkeeper has told the Independent that a recent lack of clean sheets is not of any concern to him as long as the team are winning. It is an indicator that the Czech international is buying into his managers football philosophy of ‘letting the talent flow freely’.

Cech recognizes that only collecting one clean sheet on the opening day of the season is a sign the team are adapting to Villas-Boas’ style, which is more attractive than maybe the previous reign of Ancelotti and their most successful period under Jose Mourinho who was notorious for his 1-0 victories built on a solid defence.

Whilst Cech would prefer the ball staying out of his net, he knows the three points are the most important thing.

“So as long as you keep winning games, it is always better to finish with a clean sheet, but we have been playing well and we keep getting three points.”
