Chelsea in race for Argentinian starlet

River Plate youngster Lucas Ocampos is making great noises across football and Chelsea are firmly in the race to sign the Argentinian whose play has drawn similarities to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Daily Mail have reported that The Blues are favourites to sign the 6ft 2inch 17 year-old who was converted from a second striker to a winger while rising through the ranks at River Plate.

The similarities to Ronaldo are apparently down to his power, pace and his aerial ability and Ocampos welcomes comparisons to the Real Madrid winger.

‘Everybody wants to be like Messi, but Ronaldo is the one I like. I try to imitate him.’ There is a lot of interest generating in Ocampos with Inter Milan reportedly already lodging a £15 million bid which was rejected by the Argentinian outfit. Bayern Munich have also enquired whilst Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are also interested.
