Chelsea keen on new stadium

It appears that Chelsea have considered the fans’ complaints on raised ticket prices and are believed to be considering a new stadium. The Blues had recently increased ticket prices at the club for European games in an attempt to match the revenue turnovers of other clubs with bigger capacity stadiums. However it only attracted a boycott from club supporters and it seems the club will now look at alternatives.

According to ESPN, Chelsea have made the first steps towards looking for a new home ground by making an offer to buy back the freehold to their current Stamford Bridge ground.

“We could not move unless the club had the ability to redevelop this site. That would be a precondition to getting the money to help us move,” Buck confirmed.
