Tom Cleverley is the latest addition to Manchester United’s injury list after he picked up an ankle injury which will keep him out of his side’s Champions League tie with Otelul Galati on Wednesday, The
The 22-year-old picked up the injury during United’s 1-0 victory over Everton on Saturday and he joins defender Chris Smalling and winger Ashley Young on the sidelines.
Smalling has broken his foot and could be out of action until December whilst young has not recovered from a toe injury. Cleverley’s injury is not as serious as his teammates’, however, and he could be back in Sir Alex Ferguson’s starting XI to face Sunderland on Saturday.
Ferguson said: “Cleverley felt his ankle again, but he should be okay in a week.”
