Cleverley signs new Man Utd deal

Tom Cleverley has signed a new four-year deal with Manchester United, meaning the midfielder is now contracted to the Old Trafford club until 2015, reports the Telegraph.

Following his return to United for pre-season after spending the 2nd half of the last campaign on loan at Wigan, Cleverley has impressed in the Red Devils first team to such an extent that he is now in genuine contention for a place in England’s squad for Euro 2012, next summer.

Subsequently, reward for the significant contribution Cleverley made to United’s flawless start to the season, prior to him being sidelined with a foot injury picked up in September’s 5-0 win over Bolton, now arrives in the form of the player securing a long-term deal at Old Trafford, which he and Sir Alex Ferguson will begins with a return to first team action against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
