Cleverly returns to Man Utd fold after injury absence

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley is buzzing to be back in action following his injury lay-off, Red View reports.

Cleverley told the official club newsletter that he is happy to be back amongst the side after recovering from injury suffered in the 5-0 win against Bolton in the opening month of the season. The United midfielder was on the verge of the England squad before he suffered the knock and wants to show that he still has the talent to push England midfielders for starting places.

The 22-year-old said: “The injury was bad timing. I was in the team, I was playing well and enjoying myself. These things happen in football though and you’ve just got to work hard on getting yourself fit, listen to what the physios say and stay upbeat.

Things went a little better than I expected at the start of the season and then I was disappointed to get injured, but I’m buzzing to be back now,” Cleverley added.
