Colchester United have agreed a deal with Reading to keep winger Michail Antonio at the club for a further month.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form since his move from the Royals in August and will remain with the U’s until November 15th, albeit with a 24 hour recall clause enforced in the deal by his parent club.
Manager John Ward told the club’s official website he was pleased that Antonio will spend more time at the Essex outfit: “I’m
“We were able to offer Michail regular games, something Reading couldn’t at the time, and it has worked out well for everyone.”
Antonio played a key part in Southampton’s automatic promotion from League One last season and even has a goal at Wembley to his name, notching in the 4-1 success over Carlisle in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final in March.
