The Football Association will interview Liverpool forward Luis Suarez in the next few days concerning claims of racial abuse made by Manchester United’s Patrice Evra, The
Evra’s allegations came in the wake of the two sides’ 1-1 draw last weekend, in which the French full-back claims Suarez repeated a racist term at him ten times.
Despite the Uruguayan strongly denying the accusation, the FA will speak with him after also doing so with Evra, so as not to be seen as conducting an unbalanced enquiry.
It is being reported that there is no new evidence to support the case of either player and appears that it will be one player’s word against the other.
Evra has been told he must supply secondary evidence to back up his claim, while Reds boss Kenny Dalglish says that the club will ‘co-operate 100%’ with the FA during the investigation.
