Graham questions Arshavin’s Arsenal commitment

Former Arsenal manager George Graham has questioned Andrey Arshavin’s commitment to the club.

Graham, who managed the Gunners for nine years between 1986 and 1995, winning a number of honours including two league titles and an FA Cup, told talkSPORT:

“Arshavin’s been a poor buy, his enthusiasm doesn’t seem to be there. Against Marseille and in the past, he’s looked like he doesn’t want to be there. When he pulls that shirt on he’s not been good enough for me.”

Arshavin, 30, signed for Arsenal on the last day of the January transfer window in 2009 for a fee of £16 million, but with many people involved within the club beginning to show the same doubt, the Russian could well be heading for the Emirates exit.
