Liverpool defender Martin Kelly has touted team-mate Jamie Carragher as a future manager of the club, according to the Daily
Carragher, who is already chasing his UEFA coaching licences, would be a perfect choice for the job according to Kelly.
“It’s a long way off but Jamie has got all the attributes to become our manager. He’d get the best out of players and wouldn’t settle for second best. I look forward to seeing such a massive player for the club go into management.”
Carragher has played over 650 games for Liverpool and has been vice-captain for a number of years meaning he would be a very popular choice should he take over at Anfield.
Speaking about his future, Carragher said: “The time will come in the next 12 to 18 months — maybe two years. I’ve taken my first steps to coaching and the B licence. We all love the game and want to stay involved in it.”
