Levante – Malaga: Hosts looking for third win in four matches against Andalusians

La Liga Week 8
Sunday October 16, 2011 (17.00 UK)

Ciutat de Valencia, Valencia

High-flying Levante welcome Malaga to the Ciutat de Valencia on Sunday evening with the cash-laden Andalusians hoping they can end their hosts’ unbeaten run.

Levante, yet to taste defeat in La Liga this season, don’t have too many problems as Carlos Aranda, Rafa Jorda and Ivan look set to miss out, whilst Arouna Kone may well sit out after pulling out of training during the week.

Manuel Pellegrini doesn’t have too many injury worries either with Julio Baptista and Duda nursing knocks, but could be fit enough to be involved.

Three more B team players have been training with the squad these past few days with Diego Rodriguez, Christian Marquez and Alexis stepping up as Salomon Rondon and Martin Demichelis are yet to return from international duty.

Levante (4-2-3-1): Munua; Javi Venta, Ballesteros, Nano, Del Horno; Xavi Torres, Iborra; Valdo Barkero, Juanlu; Kone
League form: Last five home D-D-D-W-W

Malaga (4-2-3-1): Caballero; Gamez, Demichelis, Mathijsen, Eliseu; Duda, Toulalan; Joaquin Baptista, Cazorla; van Nistelrooy
League form: Last five away W-D-L-W-D

Did you know…Levante have won their last four La Liga matches and are one of only three unbeaten sides in the league, Barcelona and Sevilla being the other two.
