Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish told BBC
The Reds looked to be heading for three points when Steven Gerrard opened the scoring on 68 minutes, but with nine minutes left to play Javier Hernandez equalised for the visitors to salvage a point.
“The only thing missing from that performance was that we are not walking away with the three points,” said the Liverpool boss.
“It’s a real indication of how far these players have come that they are sitting in the dressing room disappointed they have drawn with Manchester United. Their attitude, even when United equalised, was admirable as they came back and went for three points,” he concluded.
