Liverpool players and staff alike laud Suarez

In the aftermath of Liverpool’s victory over Stoke in the Carling Cup on Wednesday, manager Kenny Dalglish has described his Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez as a ‘Liverpool Legend’.

Suarez scored two goals in a 2-1 win at The Britannia, the first of which was lauded by fans and pundits alike after pushing the ball through Ryan Shotton’s legs, and curling a wonderfully precise effort into the far corner from the edge of the 18 yard box.

Suarez is widely acknowledged as an integral part to the Dalglish revolution at Anfield, and his fellow colleagues can’t give him enough praise for his abilities. Summer signing Jordan Henderson talked in the Daily Mail about Suarez’s ability and in particular his performance at Stoke. “‘Luis was unbelievable. His first goal was absolutely brilliant. It really was a piece of individual class. That’s what he is, class.”
