Liverpool travel to Chelsea for League Cup quarter-finals

Liverpool will again be on the road in the League Cup after being drawn away to Chelsea in the quarter-finals.

The Reds have already claimed victories at Exeter City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Stoke City and now travel to Stamford Bridge as they attempt to progress to the last four.

Chelsea have so far knocked out Fulham and Everton, with both ties requiring extra-time before the Blues triumphed.

The tie sees a repeat of the League Cup meeting between the two sides in 2007, which took place at the same stage of the competition and was won 2-0 by Chelsea thanks to goals from Frank Lampard and Andriy Shevchenko.

Liverpool won home and away against Chelsea in the league last season, but their goal scorers from the two matches, Fernando Torres and Raul Meireles, have both since moved to Stamford Bridge.
