MK Dons boss Robinson linked with vacant Nottingham Forest hot seat

According to various reports, MK Dons manager Karl Robinson is close to being approached by Nottingham Forest representatives as they pursue a quick appointment following the departure of Steve McClaren over the weekend.

Robinson, who this Saturday guided The Dons to second place in League One following a comfortable 3-0 home win against Notts County, became the youngest manager in the football league when he took over at Stadium mk in 2010 at the age of 29.

After guiding the Buckinghamshire based side to the playoffs last year, Robinson is now firmly regarded as one of the brightest up and coming managers in English football and for Forest to make a move for him would mark a significant change in appointment policy from the vastly experienced McClaren.

If an approach for Robinson were to be rebuffed, it is also alleged that The Reds may make an audacious attempt to lure former Celtic and Leicester boss Martin O’Neil to the City Ground as they attempt to revive the struggling club’s fortunes with a fresh appointment.
