Man Utd break record in Norwich victory

Manchester United’s current stars broke a club record which had stood for over a century yesterday by registering a 19th straight home league win with a 2-0 victory over Norwich at Old Trafford.

Goals from Oliveria Anderson and Danny Welbeck were enough to see Sir Alex Ferguson’s side overcome an impressive Norwich team to set a new marker for consecutive home league successes which had existed since the 1904-05 season.

Both before and after Anderson’s 68th minute opener, Norwich seriously threatened United’s goal on several occasions but the Red Devils survived each of these scares to ensure they have now not dropped points in a league game at Old Trafford since a 2-2 draw against West Brom last October.
