Man Utd end push for Suarez racism hearing

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez looks to be in the clear regarding racism allegations by Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, according to The Guardian.

Evra will meet with the FA this week, but is understood to require witness statements supporting his claims from players or officials for any action to be taken.

Suarez has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, and said on his Facebook site that he was ‘upset’ by the allegations.

The Uruguayan will only be questioned by the FA if Evra can persuade the disciplinary unit that he has a case to answer.

Manchester United manager attempted to ease the attention between the two clubs, saying the accusation was: “not something we would want to level against Liverpool.”
