Man Utd face new injury problems

Manchester United have been hit with a couple of injury worries to England internationals Chris Smalling and Ashley Young, The Sun reports.

Smalling will be out for up to a month with a broken toe and did not take part in yesterday’s 1-0 win at Goodison Park. The 21 year old may now miss the England games against Spain and Denmark in mid-November. Ashley Young was absent yesterday also after suffering with a toe problem and midfielder Tom Cleverley was substituted after the ankle problem he had just returned from flared up again.

Ferguson said: ‘He (Smalling) has a small fracture and I think he’ll be out for up to a month. Ashley’s injury is not going away, so he’ll be out for a couple of weeks. He (Cleverley) felt his ankle again – it’s nothing serious. He should be OK next week.’
