Samir Nasri wants former Arsenal teammate Robin van Persie to join him at Manchester City when the transfer window re-opens in January, according to the Daily
Van Persie only has one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates, and recently revealed he was in no rush to sign a new deal.
As a result, City are hoping to again snare one of Arsene Wenger’s men, having signed Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure and Gael Clichy, as well as Nasri, from the Gunners in recent seasons.
Their fierce local rivals Manchester United are also said to be interested, which could spark a bidding war over the player who Arsenal value at £30m.
Van Persie was thought to be devastated at Nasri’s departure to City last in August, and has reportedly put his home in Hertfordshire on the market, sparking rumours of a move.
